Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technician to support the perioperative team as a scrub, assistant, or second circulator under RN supervision. The role requires an Associate’s Degree or Surgical Technology certification, and BLS within 30 days.

You will apply sterile technique, assist with instrumentation, and collaborate with surgeons and OR staff to prepare trays and supplies for each procedure. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available.

Qualifications

• Independently scrubs basic surgical procedures.
• Demonstrates ability to problem solve in relation to the procedure being performed.
• Applied knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, microbiology, and pharmacology for patient care.
• Applies principles of sterile technique during procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintains sterile environment and asepsis throughout procedures.
• Coordinates supplies and equipment for efficient department operations.
• Facilitates communication with nursing staff and other departments.
