Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support a range of operative cases. You will prepare for surgeon-specific procedures, set up sterile fields and assist during operations, ensuring instruments and sutures are ready and functioning.

The role requires adaptability to surgeon preferences and coordination with the surgical team. Qualifications include an Associate's degree or Certificate in Surgical Technology and BLS certification within 3 months.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Surgical Technology or a Certificate in Surgical Technology.
• BLS certification within 3 months (AHA).1+ years of experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific operative/invasive procedures timely, accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure instruments, equipment and suture are appropriate, complete and functional.
• Set up sterile field and scrub prior to induction.
• Run mayo independently and assist as first scrub/first assist and second circulator.
• Collaborate with surgeon prior to case and adjust as necessary.
