Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist surgeons and support operative and invasive procedures across multiple specialties. You will prepare sterile fields, scrub in, and manage instruments and supplies to ensure efficient case flow and patient safety.

The role includes mentoring teammates, training students, and coordinating with RNs to support surgeon-specific preferences. BLS certification is required within 30 days, with an Associate’s degree or Surgical Technology

• Certification: BLS within 30 days (AHA)
• Education: Associate’s degree or Certificate in Surgical Technology

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific operative procedures timely and efficiently.
• Scrub and assist in cases; set up sterile field and back table for organized turnover.
• Manage instruments, equipment, and supplies; anticipate case needs; teach and mentor staff.
