Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Round Rock seeks a Surgical Technologist 2 to support the operating room team under RN supervision. You will prepare instruments, ensure sterility, and assist during procedures.

Required are graduation from an accredited surgical technology program, CST certification, and BLS. This PRN position follows Days shifts with a focus on patient safety and efficient case flow.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of infection prevention and regulatory sterilization standards.
• Knowledge of sterile and aseptic technique.
• Knowledge of human anatomy and surgical procedures.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain instrument tables and trays.
• Assist surgeons and pass sterile supplies during procedures.
• Maintain sterile field and drape patients as needed.
• Disassemble instruments and decontaminate after cases.
• Ensure proper room cleanup and inventory after each case.
