Job summary

Baylor Regional Medical Center- Plano is seeking a Surgical Technologist 2 to support operating room teams under RN supervision. You will ensure sterile instrument handling, assist with patient prep, and maintain the operative setup for each case.

The role requires CST certification, BLS, and a focus on infection prevention, with duties spanning instrument prep, counts, and post-case care as outlined by policy. This position offers PRN day coverage within a dynamic surgical department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Less than 1 year of experience preferred.
• Certification as Surgical Technologist (CST) required or maintained.

Responsibilities

• Scrub in before surgery and prepare instruments.
• Ensure sterile setup and instrument counts.
• Assist with draping, positioning, and passing supplies to surgeons.
