Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited surgical technology program.
• Less than 1 year of experience in a surgical setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Surgical technologist certification (CST) required or met per policy.

Responsibilities

• Discuss any special needs with the surgeon before surgery and scrub in.
• Prepare and maintain the instrument table in an organized way.
• Set up the operating room based on procedure schedules and supplies.
• Ensure proper functioning of instruments, equipment, and supplies during procedures.
• Perform surgical counts and assist with draping and positioning.
