Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist 2 to support the operating room team under RN supervision. You will prepare instruments, maintain the sterile field, and assist surgeons to ensure safe, efficient procedures.

Ideal candidates will have an accredited surgical technology program and CST certification, with strong infection control knowledge and teamwork to support patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Completion of a surgical technology program from an accredited school.
• Active CST certification or equivalent per NBSTSA/NCCT.
• Experience with infection control and sterile processing guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile instrument table for procedures.
• Assist surgeons and team during operations and draping.
• Maintain aseptic technique and instrument counts per policy.
• Ensure proper functioning of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Dispose of waste and decontaminate instruments after cases.
