Baylor Scott & White Health in Round Rock is seeking a Surgical Technologist II to support the surgical team during procedures. You will prepare sterile instruments, arrange the operating room, and assist surgeons and nurses to ensure patient safety.

The role emphasizes adherence to infection control, standard precautions, and instrument handling. Candidates should have CST certification and completed an accredited surgical technology program, with BLS on hire.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Certification as CST and NBSTSA or equivalent.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in healthcare setting preferred (less than 1 year).

Responsabilidades

• Discuss surgeon needs and assist in scrubbing prior to procedures.
• Prepare operative site and clip patient as needed.
• Maintain instrument table and organize supplies.
• Identify damaged or incomplete trays and rectify issues.
• Set up sterile operating room for each procedure.
• Ensure proper functioning of instruments and equipment.
• Maintain counts of sponges, sharps, and instruments.
• Pass sterile supplies to surgeons and assistants during surgery.
• Assist with draping and positioning the patient.
• Receive specimens and handle post-case disposal.
• Disassemble instruments and prep for decontamination.
• Follow infection control policies and regulatory guidelines.
