Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist 2 to support the operating room under a Registered Nurse's supervision. The role involves preparing instruments, maintaining sterile fields, and ensuring availability of equipment for safe procedures.

The position emphasizes infection control, instrument counts, and coordination with surgeons, with a focus on regulatory guidelines and safe patient care.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• Current BLS certification or within 30 days of hire.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA/NCCT or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Discuss special needs with the surgeon before surgery and scrub in on time.
• Prepare and maintain the instrument table and trays; ensure correct counts.
• Set up OR according to procedure; arrange sterile supplies and equipment.
• Ensure proper functioning of instruments/equipment during procedures.
• Assist with draping, patient positioning, and specimen handling.
• Disassemble instruments post-case and decontaminate/prepare for transport.
