Job summary

NYU Langone Health in New York City is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the Essex Crossing OSC-Day Shift (37.5 hours). Under the direction of a licensed nurse, you scrub on all surgical procedures and assist the physician in procedural areas.

Responsibilities include utilizing procedure cards, gathering needed supplies, maintaining instruments, and supporting the RN Circulator while contributing to safety and quality programs across the surgical team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS Required (American Heart Association).
• Graduate of NBSTSA-accredited Surgical Technologist program; Certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Scrub on all surgical procedures under licensed nurse supervision.
• Assist physician in procedural areas and manage instrument counts.
• Prepare and anticipate supplies and equipment based on procedure cards and plan of care.
