Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the LOC 10th FL OR–Evening Shift (37.5 Hours). Under the direction of a licensed nurse, you will scrub on all procedures in the OR and assist physicians in procedural areas.

The role requires graduation from an NBSTSA-certified Surgical Technologist program, BLS certification, and certification upon hire. Prior OR experience is preferred. NYU Langone offers comprehensive benefits and a strong commitment to patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Required (American Heart Association).
• Graduate of NBSTSA Surgical Technologist program.
• Certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Scrub on all surgical procedures in the Operating Room under the direction of a licensed nurse.
• Assist the physician in procedural areas.
• Anticipate and gather needed supplies and equipment before procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of instruments and equipment care and maintenance.
• Provide on-call coverage where applicable.
