Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island in Manhasset is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the Ambulatory Surgery Center. This full-time, day shift role supports an experienced operating room team and assists physicians during procedures with strict adherence to aseptic technique.

You will scrub on all procedures, prepare instruments and supplies, and collaborate with the RN Circulator to ensure patient safety and efficient case turnover. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; BLS from American Heart Association.
• Graduate of NBSTSA-accredited Surgical Technologist program; certification required upon hire.
• Communication and teamwork with the surgical team and cross-functional staff.

Responsibilities

• Scrub on all surgical procedures in the Operating Room and assist the physician.
• Prepare and manage instruments and supplies per procedure card and packet.
• Assist as secondary circulator under the supervision of the RN Circulator.
• Provide on-call coverage where applicable.
• Report unexpected events and maintain aseptic technique throughout procedures.
