Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to scrub on all surgical procedures in the Operating Room and assist the physician under the direction of a licensed nurse. You will prepare supplies, act as secondary circulator, and support collaborative patient care.

The role requires NBSTSA certification, BLS, and a high school diploma or equivalent. On-call coverage may be required, with a focus on maintaining aseptic technique and patient safety in a high-volume OR setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS Certification is required.
• Graduate of NBSTSA Surgical Technologist program is required.
• Certification as Surgical Technologist upon hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Scrub on all surgical procedures in the Operating Room and assist the physician.
• Assist on procedures as a secondary circulator under RN supervision.
• Prepare supplies and equipment based on procedure card; escalate needs with the RN Circulator.
• Report any unexpected events or deviations to RN staff in a timely fashion.
• Provide on-call coverage where applicable.
