Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in the operating room and support the surgical team. You will ensure aseptic technique, prepare instruments, and help position patients during procedures.

Responsibilities include coordinating care with other disciplines, assisting with specimen handling, and supporting admission and discharge processes while adhering to universal protocols.

Qualifications

• Surgical technologist program completion or certification required.
• Certification within 6 months of graduation per policy.
• Graduate from a Surgical Technologist program after Dec 31, 2020.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon and care for patients of all ages during procedures.
• Maintain aseptic technique and arrange instruments for surgery.
• Assist with positioning, gowning, gloving, draping and counting instruments.
• Support in admission, discharge and post-procedure care.
