Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our operating room team. The role includes a $7,500 hiring incentive for eligible candidates, up to $5/hr shift differential for evening, night and weekend shifts, and up to $40,000 in financial support to become a nurse.

As a Surgical Technologist, you will assist in surgeries, prepare rooms and equipment, and support the surgical team under RN supervision. This is a full-time, on-site position offering comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical operations.
• Prepare the operating rooms for surgery; sterilize and supply equipment.
• Prepare patients for surgery and assist surgeons and nurses during procedures.
• Coordinate care in the operating room.
• Prepare, identify and verify specimens and supplies.
• Adhere to Universal Protocol and safety standards.
• Participate in educational programs and ensure medications are labeled under supervision.
