Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a Surgical Technologist for a full-time, day/evening shift role with a 12-hour schedule, including Saturdays and Sundays. The position offers a $7,500 hiring incentive, a starting pay of $25.25/hour, and up to $5/hour shift differential for evenings, nights, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Current Certification as a CST is required (PA Act 80 exceptions apply).
• Graduate from Specialty Training Program is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists surgeon with procedures for patients of all ages.
• Maintains sterile technique and prepares instruments.
• Accurately counts sponges, needles and instruments with circulat­ing nurse.
• Participates in admission and discharge processes and on-call rotations.
• Applies sterile dressings and handles specimens per protocol.
• Performs billing for services rendered or equipment used.
