Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to support the operating room across procedures for patients of all ages. You will assist the surgeon, maintain sterile technique, and help coordinate care with nursing and other teams in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Active certification or eligibility under Act 80 is required; prior OR experience is preferred. The role includes a Monday–Friday schedule with a $7,500 signing bonus for eligible candidates and full benefits package.

Qualifications

• Active Surgical Technologist Certification or meets Act 80 grandfathering guidelines.
• Previous experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon with procedures for patients of all ages.
• Coordinate treatments with other disciplines.
• Provide basic patient assistance.
• Connect patients to clinical equipment as needed.
• Practice aseptic techniques during prep, gowning, gloving, and setup.
• Participate in surgical timeouts and verify surgical site with RN and surgeon.
• Maintain supplies and inventory.
• Prepare, identify, and verify specimens.
• Restock OR and prepare for next case.
• Assist in training new staff.
