Job summary

Geisinger is offering a Surgical Technologist role with a $7,500 hiring incentive and up to $5/hr shift differential for evening, night, and weekend shifts. The position includes up to $40,000 in financial support to become a nurse, along with comprehensive benefits.

The Surgical Technologist will prepare operating rooms, sterilize equipment, assist during surgery, and ensure aseptic technique while supporting the surgical team. Graduate from a specialty training program is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program (Required).
• Experience with aseptic technique and sterile processing is expected.
• Familiarity with scrub procedures and assisting in the operating room.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical operations and prepare the operating room for procedures.
• Sterilize and supply equipment for surgeries.
• Prepare patients for surgery and assist surgeons and nurses during procedures.
• Maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles and instruments.
• Follow universal protocol and report concerns affecting patient care.
