Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a Surgical Technologist with a starting wage of $25.25 per hour and a $7,500 hiring incentive for eligible candidates. The role offers shift differentials up to $5/hr for evening, night, and weekend shifts, plus up to $40,000 in financial support to become a nurse.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program (Required).
• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required unless exempt under PA Act 80.
• Experience in aiding during surgical procedures and patient care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon with procedures and patient care during surgery.
• Maintain aseptic technique and prepare instrument tables.
• Verify surgical site with team before incision.
• Assist in admission, discharge and on-call rotations.
• Preceptor role for students in the surgical unit.
