Baylor Scott & White Health in Pflugerville, TX is seeking a Surgical Technologist II to support the operating room team. This role involves scrubbing in, preparing the operative field, and maintaining instrument readiness to ensure safe and efficient procedures.

The position requires a background in accredited surgical technology, BLS certification, and the ability to work closely with surgeons and nurses in a fast-paced environment. FT, days schedule.

Formación

• Education: Grad of an Accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Experience: Less than 1 year of experience.
• Certification: BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire/transfer; CST certification via NBSTSA or NCCT preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Scrub into surgery and prepare instruments before the surgeon scrubs in.
• Prepare operative site by cleaning and clipping as needed.
• Set up operating room and instrument table; ensure sterile setup for procedures.
• Identify damaged or incomplete trays and rectify or escalate.
• Ensure proper functioning of instruments, equipment, and supplies during procedures.
• Assist with draping, patient positioning, and passing sterile supplies to surgeons.
