Job summary

United Surgical Partners International seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist/Operating Room Technician at Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Las Colinas. In this role, you will provide surgical scrub support across various procedures, ensure the maintenance of a sterile field, and assist in the organization of surgical instruments and supplies.

Qualifications

• Prior verifiable experience as a scrub technician on the OR setting prior to 2009.
• Certification in OR Technology as a (C-SA or C-ST) required.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical scrub on all types of surgical procedures.
• Set up and maintain a sterile field for surgical procedures.
• Organize instruments and supplies for easy access during surgeries.
• Participate in a rotational call system for patient service.
• Re-stock Operating Room supplies as needed.

Skills

Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities

Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures specific to an OR

Able to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians and employees

Ability to utilize electronic health care record for patient documentation

Education

High school graduate or equivalent
