Academic Medical Group Inc. is seeking a Surgical Services Coordinator to manage clinical and surgical encounters, from appointments and referrals to pre‑op requirements and final scheduling.

You will serve as the main administrative contact and coordinate with care teams to ensure efficient patient flow. Qualifications

• Knowledge of clinic and surgical scheduling workflows.
• Understanding of referrals, insurance processes, co-pays and authorizations.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients and care teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical appointments, referrals and pre-visit activities.
• Serve as primary administrative contact for patients and care team.
• Manage provider’s clinic schedule, including template adjustments and cancellations.
• Collaborate with Medical Assistants for clinic and surgical scheduling.
• Secure authorizations and provide accurate co-pay/co-insurance information.
• Coordinate surgical services from pre-op to post-op, including rescheduling and cancellations.
• Complete and track pre-operative orders (labs, imaging, consults).
• Monitor surgical schedule and assign operating room blocks to maximize volume.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and accurate documentation.
