Job summary

Alliance Health System seeks an experienced Surgical Coordinator to schedule surgeries, manage calendars, and act as a liaison among physicians, patients, and support staff. This hybrid role becomes primarily remote after a 90-day onboarding period and requires a basic understanding of insurance plans and medical terminology.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with varied insurance plans and medical terminology.
• Must be organized and able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy.
• Understanding of department procedures and hospital/ASC relationships.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication with physicians, staff, and patients.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments and surgeries; send reminders.
• Maintain the surgical calendar and coordinate with physicians, patients, and staff.
• Understand surgery durations to manage the schedule.
• Ensure all surgical cases are scheduled timely per physician directions.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and administrative staff.
