Job summary

Medical Associates Clinic is seeking a full-time Central Scheduler to support our multi-specialty Surgical teams. This role requires high attention to detail and the ability to work at a fast pace on the computer, phone, and with patients.

Hybrid option available after training at East Campus. Responsibilities include scheduling diagnostic tests and surgeries, performing pre-certification checks, clear communication with patients and staff, and guiding patients on procedure preparation.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience: From three months to one year of similar or related experience. Previous reception or surgical scheduling experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Schedule diagnostic testing and surgeries in an accurate and timely manner.
• Conduct pre-certification checks on all patients and forward appropriate forms for authorization.
• Communicate clearly with customers via telephone and in person and relay necessary messages to staff.
• Instruct the patient regarding the procedure and any preparation necessary.
• Follows up on all rescheduling patients that have noshows or cancelled appointments.
• Complete all other assigned projects and duties.
