Job summary

Alliance Health System is seeking an experienced Surgical Coordinator to join our team. This hybrid role after 90 days centers on organizing the surgical calendar and coordinating between physicians, patients, and staff.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of varied insurance plans, medical terminology, and strong communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment in Matawan, NJ.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with insurance processes such as Prior Authorization and NJ workers' comp.
• Excellent computer, telephone, and typing skills.
• Strong customer service and professional communication abilities.
• Highly organized with multitasking capability.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments and surgeries, send reminders, and manage add-ons.
• Maintain surgical calendar and liaise with physicians, patients, and staff.
• Understand procedure durations to keep schedules timely.
• Ensure cases are scheduled per physician directions.
• Adapt to high-volume environment with attention to detail.
