Job summary

Acumed LLC in Chicago, IL seeks an Associate Sales Representative to exceed sales quotas by delivering Acumed products on time and providing high quality technical assistance in the OR. You will identify opportunities, build relationships with surgeons and hospitals, and execute strategic sales plans.

Responsibilities include field calls, post-sale follow-up, product updates, and attending tradeshows and meetings to promote Acumed products. Must achieve hospital credentialing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (business or medical discipline preferred) or equivalent experience.
• 0-2 years demonstrated successful sales experience (Preferably in the medical device or industry).
• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with physicians and other surgical personnel.
• Experience in building and maintaining relationships with surgeons and hospitals in respective areas.
• Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services, including marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
• Must be comfortable in emergency/operating room environments.
• Must be able to gain necessary credentialing for hospital access.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Execute business plans to identify and close new business.
• Identifies the needs of new prospects and develops/delivers appropriate responses to meet or exceed needs.
• Performs field sales calls for assigned accounts and territory including “on-call” and operating room consultation.
• Provides accounts with post-sale follow up (communication and delivery date management, in-service training, and product replenishment).
• Communicates with current and new customer accounts regarding product updates and portfolio changes.
• Cross-sells additional products and introduces new products to current and new accounts.
• Drives customer satisfaction and resolves issues promptly.
• Maintains customer records using the CRM tool.
• Adheres to AdvaMed code of conduct and hospital, state, local laws and organizational policies.
• Obtains training in sales skills and product knowledge.
• Gains knowledge on medical device industry, Acumed customers, and competitive trends.
• Participates in tradeshows, sales meetings, and promotional activities as needed.
