Qualifications

• Two years of patient service experience in healthcare.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
• Experience with managed care and Medicare populations.
• Proficient with email, internet apps and Microsoft Office.
• Familiar with practice management and word processing software.
• Ability to maintain integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
• Excellent in-person, written and phone communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensures timely communication with patients regarding plan of care and scheduling of services.
• Obtain accurate patient information for procedure documentation.
• Collaborate with patients' PCPs or specialists for medication recommendations.
• Present patients with detailed instructions per clinical protocol related to surgery.
• Maintain open professional communication with physician care team.
• Ensure medical records reflect patient communication and plan of care.
• Obtain prior authorization for services.
