Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
• Experience with insurance authorization and billing is preferred.
• Strong computer skills including MS Office and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient surgeries and ensure proper procedure, facility, and paperwork.
• Schedule procedures with hospitals, centers, and providers; confirm date, time, and location.
• Prepare and assemble pre-operative paperwork; coordinate testing and clearances.
• Submit and track surgical authorization requests; communicate delays to providers and patients.
• Refer patients to Financial Counselor for estimates, payment options, and financial assistance.
• Coordinate with clinical and scheduling teams for imaging or specialty referrals.
• Maintain a list of surgeries for provider follow-up; manage patient communications.
• Provide pre- and post-operative instructions and educational materials.
