EmergeOrtho, North Carolina’s leading orthopedic provider, seeks a friendly front desk/check-in specialist in Morehead City. You will greet patients, verify insurance, schedule visits, and maintain orderly charts and records with a patient-first approach.

You should handle high patient volumes calmly, communicate effectively with staff, and uphold confidentiality. This on-site role supports a collaborative care environment across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills essential.
• Experience as check-in is recommended but not required.
• Knowledge of insurance guidelines and entry helpful.
• Experience in financial collections is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and perform check-in, registration, and check-out; verify insurance; schedule appointments; prepare and review charts for appointments; process orders.
• Maintain professional communication with staff and providers regarding patient needs.
• Keep a pleasant and cooperative demeanor while performing duties.
• Welcome patients and visitors, answer inquiries in person or by phone.
• Schedule appointments to optimize patient satisfaction, provider time, and room utilization.
• Update patient records and maintain confidentiality of personal and financial information.
• Assist with inventory and supplies; support office operations and procedures.
• Respond to emergencies and travel as needed.
