Job summary

CEENTA in Charlotte, NC seeks a Surgery Scheduler to coordinate all aspects of surgical care. The role acts as the primary liaison among physicians, clinical staff, and patients, ensuring accurate scheduling, documentation, and patient communication.

The candidate will schedule procedures, verify orders, manage block time with leaders, and maintain high standards of patient service in a fast-paced environment. Epic experience and medical office background are highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical office setting.
• Preferred: surgical scheduling, insurance verification, Epic experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHR systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Schedules all surgical procedures for assigned physician(s), coordinating the overall schedule.
• Ensures high quality clinical care by scheduling the correct procedure, site, and equipment.
• Coordinates instruments and equipment for each procedure and understands requirements.
• Triages calls, updates task logs, relays pre/post-op instructions, and handles administrative duties.
• Documents all patient communications in the EHR accurately and timely.
