Job summary

St. Charles Health System is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to coordinate surgery scheduling across multiple specialties.

You will work closely with providers and patients to ensure all consultations and preoperative visits are completed before scheduling procedures, and you will monitor performance indicators and provide ongoing training. The role requires strong knowledge of EPIC processes, effective communication, and the ability to manage complex schedules across inpatient and outpatient

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• One year of healthcare registration and scheduling experience required.
• Excellent communication and phone etiquette; ability to learn EPIC scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate all procedures and appointments.
• Verify completion of the prior authorization process.
• Coordinate communication with OR, clinics, and departments to ensure workflow.
• Maintain accurate records and input data into scheduling systems.
