Job summary

The role requires at least 1 year in a medical office setting, strong communication skills, and proficiency with EHR systems (Epic preferred). Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, on-site at our Hanes, NC location.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical office setting required.
• Preferred: surgical scheduling, insurance verification, Epic experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedule all surgical procedures for assigned physicians, including post-operative visits.
• Serve as liaison between physicians, clinical teams, and patients.
• Verify physician orders, CPT codes, and diagnoses for accuracy.
• Prepare surgical documentation, including consents, clinical notes, and test results.
• Coordinate surgical instruments, equipment, and scheduling logistics.
• Manage physician block time and identify opportunities for improved scheduling efficiency.
• Respond to patient inquiries and provide pre- and post-operative instructions.
• Document all patient communications accurately in the EHR.
• Ensure accurate scheduling of procedures, including correct site, time, and resources.
• Assist clinical team members with clinic support as needed.
