Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate surgical cases with ancillary tests and arrangements.
• Suggest surgery times to physicians and ensure adequate space and time.
• Ensure proper scheduling in appropriate areas according to facilities and guidelines.
• Prepare patient reports for physicians and department.
• Maintain knowledge of scheduling software and related systems.
• Review future schedules to optimize OR utilization.
• Process incoming/outgoing surgery documents and forms.
• Guide patients on logistics, insurance submissions, and pre-certification.
• Coordinate patient accommodations and resources throughout the surgical process.
