• Experience using scheduling systems and maintaining templates and data accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and clear communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient surgical procedures based on referrals and verify physician privilege status prior to scheduling.
• Gather and document insurance eligibility data and enter it into the patient’s EMR.
• Coordinate pre-surgery clearance requirements.
• Contact patients to reschedule missed or canceled appointments and document reasons for no-shows.
• Arrange for special needs (transportation, interpreters) for patient care and satisfaction.
• Assist scheduling of specialty care visits with the relevant clinic or department to meet patient needs.
