Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Lawrenceville, GA seeks a Surgical Technologist to support the physician during surgeries across multiple specialties in the OR.

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you perform technical tasks and some patient care, and you act as a resource across service lines. A sign-on bonus is available. The role requires a GED or high school diploma, surgical technology or LPN training, and BCLS with CST certification.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program required.
• 3 years of surgical tech experience required.
• 7 years of experience can substitute for certification for a total requirement of 10 years.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support upon Hire Required.
• LPN license current in GA upon Hire if applicable.
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist upon Hire Required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient care by assisting the physician during surgery in the OR across multiple specialties.
• Functions as a clinical specialist across service lines and supports the surgical department.

Work Experience

• 3 years of expereince and Surgical Tech Certification Required or
• In lieu of degree 7 years of experience can be substituted for certification for a total requirement of 10 years of Surgical Tech experience. Required

Licenses and Certifications

• LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure Current GA LPN License, if applicable Upon Hire Required or
