Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to assist physicians during surgeries in the Operating Room (OR) across multiple specialties. The role requires collaboration with Registered Nurses and acts as a resource across surgical service lines.

Qualified candidates have 3 years of surgical tech experience with certification or a total of 10 years with no certification, plus BCLS, CST, and GA LPN licensure as applicable. A sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• 3 years of surgical tech experience and certification required
• In lieu of degree 7 years of experience can be substituted for certification for a total requirement of 10 years of surgical tech experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during surgery in the Operating Room (OR) for multiple specialties.
• Perform technical and some patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Serve as a clinical specialist across numerous service specialty lines and support the surgical department.

Education

• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program Required

Work Experience

• 3 years of expereince and Surgical Tech Certification Required or
• In lieu of degree 7 years of experience can be substituted for certification for a total requirement of 10 years of Surgical Tech experience. Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure Current GA LPN License, if applicable Upon Hire Required or
