Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a skilled Surgical Tech to assist physicians during surgery in the OR across multiple specialties. You will perform technical tasks and provide patient care under RN supervision, acting as a clinical resource across service lines.

Requirements include a HS diploma or GED, graduation from a surgical technology or LPN program, and 3 years of experience with a Surgical Tech certification (or 10 years in lieu). A sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Surgical Technology Program or LPN program required.
• 3 years of experience and Surgical Tech Certification required or 7 years of experience in lieu of degree for certification (total 10 years) required.

Functions as a clinical specialist across numerous service specialty lines. Assumes additional responsibilities for maintaining surgical specialties as necessary and serves as a resource. Functions on a more global level and is more involved in detailed surgical endeavors related to the surgery department.

Qualifications

Education

Work Experience

• 3 years of expereince and Surgical Tech Certification Required or
• In lieu of degree 7 years of experience can be substituted for certification for a total requirement of 10 years of Surgical Tech experience. Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure Current GA LPN License, if applicable Upon Hire Required or
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist Upon Hire Required
