Piedmont Atlanta Hospital seeks an experienced Surgical Technologist to assist physicians in the OR across multiple specialties under RN supervision. This role supports patient care, handles technical tasks, and serves as a clinical resource within the surgical services team.

Responsibilities include assisting during surgery, maintaining sterile technique, and supporting the operating room staff to ensure efficient, safe patient care. A sign-on bonus is available for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• Surgical Tech Certification required.
• 3 years OR experience preferred or 10 years total surgical tech experience for substitution of degree.
• BCLS and CST certifications required at hire.

Functions as a clinical specialist across numerous service specialty lines. Assumes additional responsibilities for maintaining surgical specialties as necessary and serves as a resource. Functions on a more global level and is more involved in detailed surgical endeavors related to the surgery department.

Qualifications

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required and
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program Required

Work Experience

• 3 years of expereince and Surgical Tech Certification Required or
• In lieu of degree 7 years of experience can be substituted for certification for a total requirement of 10 years of Surgical Tech experience. Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure Current GA LPN License, if applicable Upon Hire Required or
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist Upon Hire Required
