Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technician to assist physicians during surgeries in the OR across multiple specialties. You will perform technical and patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse and support surgical teams as a resource within the department.

The role requires a Surgical Tech certification, BCLS, and CST credentials; an LPN license in Georgia is required if applicable. A sign-on bonus is available and the unit seeks experienced professionals.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Surgical Technology or LPN program required.
• 3 years of experience with Surgical Tech certification required.
• 7 years of experience can substitute for degree/certification for a total of 10 years Surgical Tech experience.
• BCLS and CST certifications required; GA LPN license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon during operations in the OR across multiple specialties.
• Perform technical and patient care duties under RN supervision.
• Serve as a resource and maintain surgical specialties as needed.

• 3 years of expereince and Surgical Tech Certification Required or
• In lieu of degree 7 years of experience can be substituted for certification for a total requirement of 10 years of Surgical Tech experience. Required

• LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure Current GA LPN License, if applicable Upon Hire Required or
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist Upon Hire Required
