Responsibilities

The Supervisor supervises employees in the job set‑up, during the shift, as well as the close of the shift: catering/delivery coordinator, order taker, cashier, chip and pickle, all front and back line positions, and delivery driver. The Supervisor is responsible for the overall effectiveness of their area of responsibility within the operation.

Qualifications

• Education: Applicant must have either a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Experience: Qualified applicants must have at least 6 months work experience in a supervisory position, preferably in food service.
• Skills: Applicant must be age 18 or over, able to direct a staff, consistently exercise sound discretion, memorize basic job routines, read, write, and communicate in English effectively, perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, count change correctly, and handle, organize, and balance money and credit card charge slips.
• Health: Applicants who are currently infected with a communicable disease transmissible to the public through the handling of food will not be considered. Applicant must comply with applicable city Department of Health regulations and Jason's deli's dress code policies.

Physical Standards

Ability to stand and exert mobility in a fast‑paced environment for up to six hours in length; frequent reaching, bending, squatting and stooping; ability to safely lift and carry up to 30 pounds repetitively; maintain regular attendance; use cash register, calculator, knives, meat slicers, buffalo choppers, drills, mixers, can openers, scales, and dishwashing machines.
