Job summary

Milliman, Inc. invites motivated actuarial students to join our Summer 2027 Actuarial Intern program across U.S. P&C practices.

You will work 10–12 weeks, supporting pricing and reserving analyses and client deliverables while gaining hands-on experience and mentorship. You will develop professional skills, collaborate with colleagues at all levels, and enhance your technical abilities in Excel, R, Python, SQL, and PowerBI.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative field, with at least one semester remaining.
• At least one actuarial exam passed at application time.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and other MS Office tools.
• Experience with programming or statistical tools (R, Python, SAS, VBA) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data analyses and client deliverables on pricing and reserving.
• Develop professional skills in communication, task management, and presentations.
• Collaborate with teams at all levels, including senior consultants and principals.
• Receive mentorship and actionable feedback for career development.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and intern events.
• Build strong technical skills in Excel, R, Python, SQL, VBA, PowerBI.
