Job summary

Milliman’s Property & Casualty practices invite motivated students to join us as Actuarial Interns for Summer 2027. Over 10-12 weeks, you’ll work on pricing and reserving analyses for clients across auto, homeowners, mortgage, workers comp, and more.

You’ll gain hands-on experience on real projects and develop professional skills with mentorship and meetings designed for interns. You’ll build strong technical skills in Excel, R, Python, SQL, VBA, PowerBI, and more, while networking with experts

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in actuarial science or related quantitative field with at least one semester remaining.
• At least one actuarial exam passed at application time.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and other MS Office tools.
• Experience with programming or statistical tools (R, Python, SAS, VBA) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data analyses and portions of client deliverables.
• Participate in data analyses, trend checks, and technical reviews.
• Collaborate with project teams and provide mentorship feedback opportunities.
• Engage in meetings, trainings, and intern-focused events.
• Develop professional skills in communication, task management, and presentation.
• Build technical skills in Excel, R, Python, SQL, VBA, PowerBI, etc.
