Job summary

Milliman’s Employee Benefits Consulting Practice invites motivated students to apply for a part-time summer 2027 actuarial internship. The 10-week program runs June 1–August 5, offering hands-on experience in basic actuarial calculations, filings, and client deliverables.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a quantitative bachelor’s degree, with SOA progress preferred but not required, and strong Excel skills. You will work on-site at Milliman offices and collaborate in a supportive, team-oriented

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a quantitative bachelor's degree (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science).
• SOA exam progress preferred but not required.
• Experience with spreadsheets, especially Excel.
• Must reside within 50 miles of a Milliman office and be able to work on-site twice a week.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to actuarial consultants on basic calculations and client deliverables.
• Assist with government form filings and data analysis.
• Reconciling claims data and projecting future costs.
• Perform data analysis using Excel and ProVal.
• Collaborate with project teams to deliver client reports.
