Job summary

Milliman’s Summer 2027 Actuarial Internship offers 10–12 weeks of hands-on experience across U.S. P&C practices. You’ll assist with pricing and reserving analyses for personal and commercial lines, gain exposure to real actuarial projects, and network with experts while developing professional skills.

You will work with data analyses, present results, and collaborate with teams at all levels. Opportunities include mentorship, meetings, and social events to support your career growth.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s in actuarial science or related quantitative field with at least one semester remaining.
• At least one actuarial exam passed at the time of application.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and other MS Office tools.
• Experience with programming or statistical tools (R, Python, SAS, VBA) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with project teams on data analyses and client deliverables.
• Develop professional skills in communication, task management and presenting.
• Collaborate with colleagues at all levels, including senior consultants and principals.
• Receive mentorship and actionable feedback to support your career development.
• Participate in meetings, training sessions and intern social events.
• Build strong technical skills in Excel, R, Python, SQL, VBA, PowerBI.
