Job summary

Milliman’s Property & Casualty internship program invites motivated students to join us as Actuarial Interns for Summer 2027. Over 10–12 weeks, you’ll assist with pricing and reserving analyses for a range of products, gaining hands-on experience on real projects and professional skill development.

You will work with teams, develop Excel, R, Python, SQL, and PowerBI skills, and receive mentorship. Some roles may be onsite, others remote, with an expected deadline of Oct 15, 2026.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related quantitative field, with at least one semester of school remaining.
• At least one actuarial exam passed at the time of application.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and other MS Office tools.
• Experience with programming or statistical tools (R, Python, SAS, VBA) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with project teams on data analyses, create portions of client deliverables, perform technical review ("checking").
• Develop professional skills such as communication, task management, and presenting.
• Collaborate with colleagues at all levels, including senior consultants and principals.
• Receive mentorship and actionable feedback to support your career development.
• Participate in meetings, training sessions, and social events designed for our interns.
• Build strong technical skills in Excel, R, Python, SQL, VBA, PowerBI, etc.
