Job summary

Milliman is seeking actuarial interns for Summer 2027 across U.S. P&C practices.

Over 10–12 weeks, interns will assist with pricing and reserving analyses for personal and commercial lines and gain hands-on experience on real projects with mentoring and professional skill development. Applicants should be pursuing actuarial science or related quantitative degrees, have at least one actuarial exam, and be proficient in Excel and MS Office; programming skills (R/Python/SAS/VBA) are a plus.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or related quantitative field with at least one semester remaining.
• At least one actuarial exam passed at time of application.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and other MS Office tools.
• Experience with programming or statistical tools (R, Python, SAS, VBA) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with project teams on data analyses and create portions of client deliverables.
• Perform technical review and quality checks of work.
• Develop professional skills such as communication and task management.
• Collaborate with colleagues at all levels including senior consultants.
• Receive mentorship and actionable feedback to support career development.
