Job summary

HDR is seeking a Substation Project Manager to join a growing Power Delivery team. You will manage engineering projects across the full life cycle, collaborating with design teams to deliver scope, schedule, and budget adherence.

The role requires leading engineers and technicians, ensuring QA/QC, and supporting business development with clients in the region. HDR emphasizes employee ownership and inclusive culture across offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of project management experience.
• FE, PE preferred; PMP acceptable in lieu of PE.
• Experience with system projection/ planning and public involvement is a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage substation projects from scope to closeout with oversight of schedule and budget.
• Lead project engineers, EITs, coordinators, designers and drafters.
• Ensure QA/QC per HDR’s Quality Management Systems.
• Engage with clients, proposals, and regional leadership for growth.
• Coordinate hiring plans to grow the practice and collaborate across offices.
