HDR Engineering is seeking a Substation Project Manager to lead substation projects within HDR’s Power Delivery practice. Opportunities span multiple preferred locations, including Washington and surrounding states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field; equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of project management experience.
• FE, PE license preferred; PMP in lieu of PE.
• Experience with system projection/planning, transmission lines, and public involvement is a plus.
• Ability to interact with various design teams; strong organizational and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Active participant in employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Manage Substation projects end-to-end across lifecycle.
• Direct, mentor, train, and supervise Project Engineers, EITs, Coordinators, Designers, and staff.
• Oversee workload, schedule, quality, morale, and performance of team.
• Oversee non-engineering components (permits, public involvement, ROW, real estate).
• Lead QA/QC per HDR QMS; strive for client-delivered excellence.
• Support client management and regional business development efforts.
