Job summary

HDR is seeking a Substation Project Manager to join our Power Delivery team. You will manage substation projects of all sizes, lead engineers and designers, and ensure quality and schedule adherence while engaging clients and stakeholders across multiple offices.

The role requires a bachelor’s in electrical engineering with 2+ years of PM experience, strong communication, and the ability to mentor staff. Location options include Bend/Portland area with full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of project management experience.
• Experience with or exposure to power delivery systems and permissions/engagement.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage substation projects from initiation to closeout, including scope, schedule, and budget.
• Lead project teams, mentor engineers, and coordinate with designers and staff across offices.
• Oversee QA/QC processes to meet HDR quality standards and client expectations.
• Support business development and client engagement, and help build a regional team.
