Job summary

HDR Engineering is seeking a Substation Project Manager to lead electrical substation projects across multiple sites, including Bend, OR. You will guide project teams, manage scope, schedule and budget, and collaborate with designers to deliver safe, reliable power delivery solutions.

This role requires strong communication and a hands-on approach to project leadership. You will mentor engineers and coordinators, engage with clients and stakeholders, support QA/QC under HDR's QMS, and help grow

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of related experience in project management.
• 2+ years of project management experience.
• Ability to interact with design teams and strong organizational, PM and communication skills.
• Active participation in a employee-owned culture is expected.

Responsibilities

• Manage substation engineering projects from scope through closeout.
• Lead project engineers, EITs, coordinators and technicians.
• Oversee QA/QC per HDR’s QMS requirements.
• Support client management and engage in regional business development.
• Coordinate hiring plans with leadership and collaborate across offices.
